Where Your Order Ships From

Orders placed on KTeashop are shipped from:

   - Switzerland or

   - Korea

Both countries are outside the European Union.
As a result, EU customs rules apply when your order enters the EU.

Why EU Customers May Pay Import Charges

When goods enter the EU from outside the EU, EU law requires customs clearance.

This may result in two charges collected by the courier on delivery:

   - Import VAT (government tax)

   - Handling fee (courier service fee)

These charges:

     - Are not set by us

     - Are not included in shipping costs

     - Are collected by EU customs and the courier

Legal Basis (EU)

     - EU VAT Directive 2006/112/EC Requires VAT on goods imported into the EU

      - EU Union Customs Code (Regulation (EU) No 952/2013) Requires a customs               declaration for all non-EU imports

Because VAT is not prepaid at checkout, the customer becomes the importer of record and pays these charges on delivery.
