Korean matcha & hojicha

A second matcha origin for US cafés.

Japanese matcha draws on one national supply of tencha, and US demand is first in line for it. Korean matcha comes from a separate harvest in Jeju, Hadong and Boseong. The leaf is pan-fired rather than steamed, so the cup is nuttier and rounder, with a roasted note that holds up in milk.

Korean matcha wholesale details

01

Ceremonial matcha

Stone-milled from first spring leaf. Soft and nutty whisked straight, toasty in a premium latte.

02

Premium matcha for lattes

Built for everyday hot and iced lattes: holds its colour and flavour through oat or dairy milk.

03

Hojicha powder

Pan-fired leaf and stem roasted until amber. Not made from tencha, so it does not draw on the leaf behind the matcha shortage.

04

From 1 kg per powder

Pilot one grade before you commit. Private label from 10 kg per powder. Prices per kilo, in writing, with your samples.

Shipping & documents

Shipping Korean tea to the United States.

We supply buyers across the US. Shipping route, lead time and duties are confirmed with your quote, by product, quantity and destination.

01

FDA paperwork from the garden

FDA requirements, including food facility registration and Prior Notice, are handled directly by the producing tea garden in Korea.

02

USDA Organic lots

USDA Organic lots are available from Bohyang Tea Garden in Boseong, alongside EU, JAS and Korea Organic certification by lot.

03

Lot records

Specification, origin and traceability records by producer and lot, so your second order matches your first.

Why add Korea?

Different enough to be interesting. Familiar enough to sell.

For a buyer already carrying Japanese, Chinese or Taiwanese tea, Korea creates a new reason to talk to the customer without asking them to learn tea from the beginning.

01

Add an origin, not another blend

Build Korea alongside the tea origins already on your shelf rather than competing only on flavour names.

02

Premium and commercial options

The range can be built across different price points, formats and service environments.

03

Useful story after the sale

Origin, harvest, processing and preparation guidance help staff explain why the tea is different.

What comes with a B2B evaluation

Enough information to make a buying decision.

We keep the first step simple: identify the fit, taste the relevant products and then quote the commercial route.
