Top note

Sweet honey and warm malt are the first things you notice. Clean and immediate, with no bitterness. The cup opens softly and settles quickly into a natural warmth.

MIDDLE NOTE

Dried Rose

As the liquor settles on the palate, a gentle dried rose note opens through the middle. Soft and warm, fully integrated into the body of the tea. It never feels sharp — only smooth and quietly floral.

BASE NOTE

Warm Cocoa

The finish carries a subtle cocoa warmth beneath the honey sweetness. It stays smooth, round, and deeply satisfying — the kind of finish that makes you reach for the next cup without thinking.

The region sits along the Lancang River valley, where consistent mist, red clay soil, and high altitude combine to produce leaves with exceptional sweetness and body. The Mingyun Tea Professional Cooperative continues this tradition — selecting, processing, and refining with the careful, time-intensive Gongfu methods that define authentic Yunnan black tea.

Fengqing County sits in the heart of western Yunnan — one of China's most respected black tea regions, where the Lancang River valley creates a climate of consistent mist, fertile soil, and long growing seasons. The Mingyun Tea Professional Cooperative has worked this land with traditional Gongfu methods that prioritise depth and smoothness over yield.

Grade 1 Gongfu Black Tea means the leaves are hand-sorted to strict standards. The result is a cup with no rough edges — clean honey sweetness up front, a dried rose note through the middle, and a warm cocoa finish that stays long after the last sip. Low astringency. High resteep value. Six to eight steepings, each deepening the character without losing the sweetness.
