We are proud to introduce Tea OMAKASE x Live Music performance, a new collaborative project that blends the serenity of tea ceremonies with the immersive power of live music. This unique event brings together Korean tea sommelier Shane Kim and renowned Swiss musician Philipp Zürcher to create an extraordinary experience that intertwines the art of tea with the evocative beauty of live sound.

A Symphony of Tea and Music

At Tea OMAKASE x Live Music performance, Philipp’s original music performance will feature electric guitar, processed live by ZOIA, a modular sound system. This allows for both natural and abstract soundscapes, at one point creating meditative ambient music, then naturally following the rhythms and dramaturgy of tea master Shane Kim’s movements with an original live soundtrack.

Shane Kim will guide guests through the intricate movements of Korean and Japanese tea ceremonies, focusing on the mindful preparation and enjoyment of each cup. As the tea unfolds, Philipp Zürcher’s live music will evolve in perfect synchrony, creating an auditory landscape that mirrors the emotional flow of the ceremony.
