Learn to taste green tea with attention.
This four-hour, small-group course is an introduction to professional green tea tasting and brewing. Designed for tea lovers, hospitality professionals, café owners, and future tea sommeliers, it teaches you how to recognise what makes one green tea different from another—and how processing, origin, water, temperature, and technique shape the final cup.
Led by Shane Kim, certified Korean Tea Sommelier and founder of KTeaShop, the course combines clear theory with guided tasting and hands-on practice.
What you will learn
- How green tea is made, from fresh leaf to finished tea
- The key differences between Korean, Japanese, and Chinese green teas
- How steaming, pan-firing, rolling, and drying influence aroma and flavour
- How to evaluate dry leaf, aroma, liquor, taste, texture, and finish
- How water temperature, dosage, and infusion time change the cup
- How to brew green tea consistently for personal or professional service
- How to describe tea clearly and build your own tasting vocabulary
