This weekend is for you if…
- You love Japanese craft but have only ever tasted wagashi — never made it.
- You want a skill in your hands, not another passive workshop.
- You'd rather learn from a master once than from videos forever.
No experience needed. Every step is demonstrated, then done with your own hands. Everything is provided.

Everything you may wonder
Do I need any experience?
No. Level 1 assumes you have never touched mochi dough. Every technique is demonstrated by Doris first, then done with your own hands at your station.
Are the sessions all the same?
No — every Level 1 session teaches a different design (five across the weekend), and the two Level 2 sessions build different sets. Attend several without repeating a piece.
Do I get the recipes?
Yes. Every level includes the complete written recipes for everything you make — quantities, timings, and Doris's notes.
What is the Wagashi Kit and who receives it?
The tools and starter ingredients to continue the craft at home. Included for Level 3 participants and everyone on the Complete Path. Not sold separately.
What should I bring or wear?
Nothing. Tools, ingredients, and an apron are provided. Comfortable clothes; long hair tied back; clean, short fingernails.
I have a dietary restriction — can I take part?
Wagashi is naturally plant-based and gluten-free: rice, azuki beans, sugar, seasonal ingredients. Specific allergy? Write to us before booking.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Seats can be moved to another session (subject to availability) up to 7 days before. Bookings are non-refundable. You may transfer your seat to another person anytime. Doors close 10 minutes after start.
Can I gift a seat?
Yes — write 'gift' in the order note and we'll send a printable invitation, or contact us for an open voucher.
